The Bag Sets the Tone

A bag is read before you say anything.
Walk into a meeting, a restaurant, a flight. Your bag arrives before you do.
If it looks slumped, overstuffed, and spilling charging cables, the read is "scattered." If it stands up on its own, closes cleanly, and has one job, the read is "in control." Same person, same outfit, completely different impression.
Structure over slouch.
Most of the bags people own do not stand up. That is the whole problem.
A bag with no structure becomes a sack. The contents shift, the shape collapses, and you spend ten minutes a day rummaging. A structured bag — leather, canvas with a base, anything that holds a silhouette — keeps the contents organized by virtue of its shape. You stop hunting for things because there are fewer places they can be.
Pick the material to match the day. Leather reads more considered and lasts longer. Canvas reads more relaxed and washes. Nylon is for travel, not a Tuesday meeting. Match material to context the same way you match shoes to occasion.
Then commit to one bag for the week. Most people own four or five bags and rotate them, which means they re-pack constantly and lose things in the process. Pick one. Use it. Empty it on Friday. Repack on Monday. That is the system.
